An iconic piece of American history, the White House was designed by architect James Hoban over two hundred years ago and has housed every president since John Adams. It is built of sandstone from a quarry in Aquia, VA and was first painted white in 1978 with a lime-based whitewash. The formula for its cream color is achieved by mixing a base white paint with other colors known only to White House painters. This sterling silver charm features a 3-dimensional replica of the White House.
