Product Description

In his 1961 Inaugural Address, John F. Kennedy, the youngest man elected president, bid Americans to "ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country." During his administration, First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy established the White House Historical Association. In November 1963, barely past his first thousand days in office, President Kennedy died from an assassin's bullet. This bookmark is inspired by the portrait of Kennedy, painted by Aaron Shikler in 1970, that was commissioned by the White House Historical Association and hangs in the State Floor of the White House.
