Animals at Work in White House History (#76)
White House history is a place where friends are long remembered, and among the most popular of those friends are the hard-working animals. In the nineteenth century presidential households relied on horsepower to function, but working animals, from dairy cows to honeybees, have also enriched life at the White House.
Our Mission
The White House Historical Association is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1961 by First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy with a mission to protect, preserve, and provide public access to the rich history of America’s Executive Mansion.

Fundraising FAQ
Why is the White House Christmas Ornament a good fundraising tool?
The Official White House Christmas Ornaments are a well known and collectible keepsake. Since 1981, the White House Historical Association honors a different president sequentially, beginning with George Washington, through its ornaments. That means that we have a new design and new educational content with each year's ornament, to keep your funders returning year after year.
How much money can we make?
We recommend pricing the ornament at face value, although some fundraisers sell for more. Depending on your initial quantity of ornaments ordered, you could make up to $8 profit per ornament sold.
What is the cost of the ornament?
The Official 2024 White House Christmas Ornament is offered at the following bulk prices:
- 25 - 99 units $22.95
- 100 - 499 units $19.95
- 500+ units $16.95
