Cherry Blossom Bracelet with Glass Leaves and Hand Painted Tensha Bead

Made in the U.S.A. exclusively for the White House Historical Association, this exclusive collection features beautiful handmade Tensha beads sourced from Osaka, Japan, and painted with a delicate cherry blossom flower. Leaves are made of painted, pressed glass.

First Lady Helen Herron Taft dreamed of planting cherry trees along the Tidal Basin, just south of the White House, and in 1912 her wish was realized with a gift of thousands of trees from Japan. Now more than 100 years old, the mature blossoms are celebrated each spring with a festival and parade in Washington, D.C.
