Inspired by the architectural and decorative beauty of the White House, this scarf is designed with a rich tapestry of themes seen throughout the building. The East Room features a medallion on the carpet upon which history has been made. The Red Room was first decorated in bold red colors in 1845, during the presidency of James K. Polk. The Blue Room, one of three oval rooms in the White House, features the French Empire style selected by President James Monroe in 1817. Exterior features include the iconic alternating arched and stoned pediments by architect James Hoban and the lantern that hangs from the North Portico. This beautiful scarf is a tribute to the presidents and first ladies who have left their indelible marks on the beloved People’s House. Dry clean only.
