          Additional Information
The Red Room, one of the three formal parlors on the south side of the State Floor of the White House, has served as a sitting room and a music room. Recent presidents have held meetings and small dinner parties there. It has been decorated with bold red colors since 1845, during the presidency of James K. Polk. The Red Room is currently furnished in the American empire style of the early nineteenth century. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth as needed. Choking hazard, small pieces. Keep out of reach of children.
