Product description
Designed exclusively for the White House Historical Association to commemorate America's 250th birthday, this handcrafted fine bone china cachepot represents a once-in-a-generation anniversary collectible. Each piece is meticulously hand-decorated with exquisite detail, featuring jubilant stars, the Truman Seal, and delicate florets inspired by White House architectural and design details. A true visual representation of American patriotic heritage, this distinguished vessel celebrates the nation's historic milestone. A cachepot is a decorative, watertight container that elegantly conceals utilitarian plant pots while protecting surfaces from water damage. Perfect as an executive desk accessory or recognition gift! Underside features co-branded seal for the White House Historical Association and Halcyon Days.
On October 25, 1945 President Harry S. Truman issued Executive Order 9646, which officially defined the Presidential Coat of Arms and Seal for the first time. An eagle’s head, which originally faced right toward a bundle of thirteen arrows held in its talons, was turned to face left toward the olive branch it held, symbolizing peace. Since 1945, the only changes made to the seal were the additions of the 49th and 50th stars.
This fine bone china cachepot is made in Stoke-on-Trent, the traditional heart of the English pottery industry. With a team of master craftsmen and women, we continue to produce the very best fine bone china, using traditional methods passed down through generations. Each piece is finished with liquid gold accents, using the finest of brushes. Given the handmade nature of these pieces, every piece is unique.
