Made in the U.S.A. exclusively for the White House Historical Association, this exclusive collection features beautiful handmade Tensha beads sourced from Osaka, Japan,decorated with delicate cherry blossom flowers. Leaves are made of painted, pressed glass.

First Lady Helen Herron Taft dreamed of planting cherry trees along the Tidal Basin, just south of the White House, and in 1912 her wish was realized with a gift of thousands of trees from Japan. Now more than 100 years old, the mature blossoms are celebrated each spring with a festival and parade in Washington, D.C.

Founded in 1961 by First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, the White House Historical Association is the nonprofit, nonpartisan organization entrusted with preserving and sharing the history of the White House. The Association is able to fulfill its mission to share White House history through the support of private philanthropy and the sale of our educational books and products. As a continuation of our education mission, the Association also operates The People’s House: A White House Experience, a free, immersive, educational museum in Washington, D.C., which welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.
