Marine One is the call sign used for any of the U.S. Marine Corps fleet of helicopters whenever the president of the United States is on board. Regularly arriving and departing from the South Lawn of the White House, Marine One often carries the president the short distance to Andrews Air Force Base or Camp David but may also be loaded on a C-17 cargo plane for the president’s use during any trip around the world.
